New Online Poker Player Wins Prize Worth €7,000 in PokerTracker EPT Sanremo Main Event Sweepstakes

April 3, 2014, Las Vegas, USA (Press Release) – A 21-year-old university student has scooped a coveted prize of an entry into the PokerStars European Poker Tour Sanremo Main Event. Micro-stakes online player Oleg Lichii, who hails from the Moldovan capital of Chisinau, was randomly chosen in a sweepstake offered by acclaimed online tracking and analysis software provider PokerTracker (http://www.pokertracker.com).

PokerTracker 4 is the official poker tracking software for the EPT Season 10. Anyone who downloaded the free 30-day trial of PokerTracker 4 was eligible to be included in the draw. Lichii uses PokerTracker 4 while playing on PokerStars under the screen name ‘Leackey92’.

This lucky winner’s Main Event package is worth €4,600 (plus €300 entry fee) and PokerTracker has also given him €2,000 for travel, accommodation and spending money during his stay in the chic Italian city Sanremo on the Mediterranean coast. The star-studded Sanremo Main Event – the seventh leg of EPT Season 10 – runs from April 14-20.

Lichii, who says he first caught the poker bug watching the EPT on TV three years ago, was overjoyed to land the sweepstakes prize offered by PokerTracker. “When I downloaded the demo version I saw the information about the Sanremo trip for some lucky guy, so I decided to register. I wasn’t expecting to win, since I’ve never won any kind of lottery, but when I saw the message I couldn’t believe my eyes and my dream actually came true. Thank you, PokerTracker!”

However, he very nearly missed out on realising his poker dream of playing on the tour when, unbeknownst to him, the message confirming his prize was unintentionally lodged moved into his email spam folder. With no response from the Moldovan to prove his eligibility within the 72-hour period set out in the sweepstake rules, PokerTracker was forced to randomly select an alternate winner.

Immediately afterwards, a crestfallen Lichii discovered his emailed “golden ticket” and informed PokerTracker. A nail-biting 72 hours ensued, but the selected alternate coincidentally also failed to respond to the confirmation email within the required eligibility confirmation time period. This miraculous change of events means that Lichii will be awarded the EPT grand prize package!

“It was a sweat to the finish,” explains PokerTracker’s Steven McLoughlin, said: “We couldn’t be happier for him and we hope he thoroughly enjoys Sanremo and wins the EPT Sanremo Main Event.”

$30,000 in Extra Gold Card Rewards at Intertops Poker This Month

23 April 2013 (St. Johns, Antigua) – A sweet deal just got sweeter. Intertops Poker already surprises players with seemingly random Gold Cards so unsuspecting players can find themselves with a nice bonus any time, even after their first hand, even if they fold.  This month Gold Card collectors will be competing against each other in the Gold Card Race for additional weekly prizes of up to $500.

Every Wednesday until May 7 the top 200 players for that week will receive cash winnings totaling $30,000.  The next weekly race 3 begins tomorrow, April 24 and continues until April 30. The fourth and final race will be May 1 – 7.  General terms and conditions apply.

Gold Cards are released every time a table reaches a pre-determined rake amount. Although they’re therefore released more frequently in higher-limit games, they are awarded at all levels and stakes. The value of each Gold Card depends on how it’s used. Some players like to redeem them for instant cash while others use them to buy-in special Gold Card Tournaments.

Every Gold Card earned is worth 'miles' on the leaderboard. The higher the value of the Gold Card, the more miles that are earned and Intertops Poker multiplies it based on table-stakes. Players can check their Gold Card Race standing anytime by clicking the Rewards tab in the Intertops online poker room.

Play Texas Hold'em with Pamela Anderson with BamPoker Facebook App

Not long ago her Baywatch stardom made her the number one search term on the infant internet. Today, superstar actress, model and international celebrity Pamela Anderson launched BamPoker, calling it "the online gaming industry’s most exciting virtual Facebook poker experience to date." The BamPoker Facebook App has thrilling game play and a leading-edge online community. And it's the only place online where members can play Texas Hold’em poker with Pamela Anderson herself.

To check her out visit: https://apps.facebook.com/bampoker/?r=2

BamPoker pits real individuals from all over the world against one another in both casual and tournament-style Texas Hold’em play. There is no real-money gambling at BamPoker — it’s free to play, and it’s all about the fun. As players win virtual chips and gain experience points, they gain access to higher-level opponents and higher-stakes games. The ultimate goal is to obtain a VIP Badge, which allows top players to take their chances at BamPoker’s exclusive VIP tables for the poker elite.

Founded by Canadian entrepreneurs Elton Pereira and Jeremy Nichele, BamPoker brings a new level of excitement to online social poker. “We are committed to providing a fun, social and interactive gaming experience through quality game design,” says BamPoker co-founder and CEO Elton Pereira. “BamPoker encourages active user engagement and strong community spirit, something we feel has been missing from the online poker world.” BamPoker is committed to celebrating the essence of poker, which is its sheer unpredictability — “In a poker game, anything can happen,” Pereira states. “Even a flop can make you a winner.” Hence BamPoker’s motto: “That’s the Beauty of the Game!”™

Pereira and Nichele wanted BamPoker to have a “personal touch” like no other site, so who better to bring on board than international celebrity and poker fan Pamela Anderson? Pamela is much more than BamPoker’s spokesperson and creative consultant — she is an active member of the BamPoker community where she maintains a fan page, plays Facebook poker, and periodically chats with members via the BamPoker App.

A multi-talented model, actress, entrepreneur, philanthropist, activist, spokesperson, designer and mother, Pamela Anderson is one of the most multi-talented stars in history. With an unprecedented resumé that includes television smashes “Home Improvement” and “Baywatch,” her self-created and produced hits “VIP” and “Stacked,” and memorable film roles in “Barb Wire” and “Borat,” Anderson is an international icon. She has been featured on the covers of countless magazines, including an astonishing 14 appearances on the cover of the U.S. edition of Playboy — making her the most-featured cover girl in Playboy history.

“When I first met Elton and Jeremy, I knew they were on to something special,” says Pamela Anderson. “They weren’t interested in creating just another game — they wanted to take the social elements of online poker in a bold new direction. There is nothing like BamPoker out there today, and I am excited to be a part of such an innovative platform!”

Beyond the game, BamPoker is a socially-conscious company that will roll out a series of non-profit partnerships throughout 2012, making valuable contributions to a variety of worthy causes. As a world-renowned philanthropist, Pamela Anderson will help spearhead many of these initiatives.

Will Iowa Be Second State to Pass iGaming Legislation?

New Jersey is but a step away from becoming the first state in America to regulate Intra-State Internet gambling. A Bill authorising Atlantic City casinos to offer online games to persons physically present in the state was approved by the Legislature in January 2011. It awaits the signature of Governor Chris Christie, who, during his time in office, has pushed hard to reinvigorate the state’s flagging gaming economy. With New Jersey on the cusp of introducing safe and secure online games — games which could profitably generate hundreds of millions of dollars in revenues each year — other states have begun to take notice.

In Iowa, state Senator Jeff Danielson, Democrat of Waterloo, will this week introduce a large gambling Bill that includes provisions authorizing the state’s licensed casinos to offer Internet poker to persons physically present there. The Bill must clear its first hurdle, a vote in legislative committee, by March 4. In order to become law, the Bill must then be approved by both chambers of the Iowa Legislature and, finally, signed by Governor Terry Branstad. Relative to New Jersey, the Internet gambling debate in Iowa is in its early stages, but gambling industry lobbyists in Des Moines say that the Legislature will consider Internet poker carefully in light of the fiscal returns it could generate for the state.

Early estimates prepared by groups lobbying for the Iowa gambling Bill suggest that Internet poker, if legalized, could generate $35 million in revenues for the state each year. In New Jersey, though, the figures are even bigger. According to a study commissioned by the Interactive Media Entertainment and Gaming Association (iMEGA), an Internet gambling industry trade group, Internet gambling could generate $250 million in revenues for the state in its first year, and as much as $7.1 Billion over the long run. Taken together, the estimates from Iowa and New Jersey show that introducing even limited forms of Internet gaming could deliver nearly $300 million to two states that are cutting funding for public programs and in desperate need of new revenues.

“This week marks a turning point for Internet gambling in the United States,” says Chris Krafcik, an independent analyst who tracks American Internet gambling policy for publishers and consultancies around the world. “First, Governor Christie will decide by March 3 whether to approve, veto, conditionally veto, or abstain from voting on the Internet gambling Bill pending there. Second, a committee in the Iowa Legislature will decide by March 4 whether Internet poker will feature as a public policy issue this year. If Christie signs the Bill and the Iowa Legislature runs with Internet poker, Internet gambling will have taken big steps toward being recognized as the safe, secure and revenue-generative business that it is.”

Intertops Poker Honors Cake Poker Loyalty Rewards Earned at Doyles Room

As a member of the Cake Network, Intertops will honor all existing loyalty rewards for players who played at Doyles Room when they decided to leave the Cake Network. All players who want to keep the benefits of playing on the network with the best industry-wide rewards program should contact Intertops to claim their rewards.

Intertops will be matching players’ previous Gold Chips, Gold Cards and Gold Stacks rewards, and new players are eligible for a 110% Sign Up Bonus up to $600 with bonus code ‘600extra’.

To get the rewards, moved players should email: poker@intertops.com with the subject “Loyalty Rewards Matchup”, including their current user ID at Intertops and the previous ID from Doyles Room. Intertops will take care of the rest.

Great news for tournament players is that starting March 27th Intertops will host a $15,000 Guaranteed and a $25,000 Guaranteed tournament every Sunday in the month.

At Intertops, players of every level can always find a cash game to join. Sit n Go and multi-table tournaments are plentiful and start regularly. The bulk of the players are found at No Limit Hold’em at all levels, while the Omaha tables see most action in the $1/$2 level and below.

There are also several freeroll tournaments every day where players can get their bankroll started with no risk at all. With tournaments starting around the clock, players never have to wait long to join in at Intertops.

Intertops Poker has now been part of the Cake Poker Network for a little more than a year and has been enjoying a steady growth in player numbers.

“Players keep telling us that the kind of value they find playing with us exceeds all other networks at the moment, simply because there are less grinders playing,” said an Intertops Poker manager.  “Intertops recently celebrated its fifteenth anniversary online. No sportsbook, casino and poker room could stay in business that long without taking exceptionally good care of its customers. Players trust Intertops to make quick, hassle-free withdrawals and offer lots of tables at every level 24/7.”

New Features at Bidibot Give New Bidders Better Chance of Winning Poker Credits

Just like poker, winning a Bidibot penny auction takes both luck and strategy. Since it can take some practice and learning to bid and win against more experienced bidders, Bidibot has incorporated some special features just for newbies. Auctions designated “Max Bids” and “Unlucky Bidders” and “No Bot” help level the playing field. Limits on number of auctions won now make it possible for even more poker and casino game players to buy credits for a fraction of their value.

“We want to accommodate all kinds of customers so, based on feedback we’ve received, we’ve implemented some important changes,” said poker pro and Bidibot founder John Tabatabai. “Win limits and specially designated auctions help ensure everyone has a fair chance of winning.”

Bidibot is an online penny auction site that auctions credits at popular online poker and casino sites. $25, $30 and even $50 in credits usually sell for less than $5. With such incredible bargains to be had, competition can be fierce and many bidders have developed smart strategies. The site does have a “Strategy” section to help new bidders develop their own winning strategy while win limits and special auctions give them an opportunity to hone their bidding skills.

Maxbid auctions, for example, are designed to restrict the number of bids placed per user, reducing the competition and giving new bidders a better chance of winning. The maximum number of bids allowed is illustrated on the Max Bids icon. And Unlucky Bidder auctions are open only to bidders that have never won a Bidibot auction. These auctions are a great place to start bidding against other newcomers.

This week special auctions for Valentine's offer a wide range of consumer goods including televisions, iPods and cameras plus vouchers for Top Shop and spa breaks – and they’ll all likely sell for pennies on the dollar.

Bidibot auctions credits for leading poker and casino sites including Poker Stars, UltimateBet, 888Poker, Absolute Poker, Titan Poker, Victory Poker, JackpotCity, JackpotJoy, Sportsbook.com, PartyBingo and DiceArena. Chilipoker, RPM and Slotland credits are also now available at the only online penny auction site for gamblers.

Model, Astrophysicist and Poker Champ Liv Boeree to Cut the Opening Ribbon at Poker in the Park

EPT’s most glamourous champion to kick off world’s biggest poker festival

pip-liv_boeree-160.jpgModel and poker champion Liv Boeree will cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony of Poker in the Park on 2nd September, 2010. Liv will declare the world’s biggest poker fair officially open at 4pm on Thursday, so for early birds there’ll be plenty of opportunities for photos and autographs.

Liv rocked the poker world last May when she won the EPT San Remo Main Event for a cool £1 million. A woman of many parts, as well as a model and TV presenter, Liv is also an astrophysics graduate and heavy metal guitarist. Her career live tournament cashes currently exceed £1,930,000.

In its fourth year, Poker in the Park expects to attract 20,000 poker fans over two days, and will fill London’s Leicester Square with sit-n-go poker tournaments running around the clock, lectures from big name pros, tuition tents, stalls selling the latest poker merchandise and much much more.
