Top Poker Pros Out in Force for British Poker Awards Bounty Tournament

21 February 2014, London, UK (Press Release) – Guests at this year’s British Poker Awards (www.thebritishpokerawards.com) will be treated to a drinks reception, the awards ceremony, and the chance to lock horns with poker’s elite.

The awards ceremony takes place at London’s famous Hippodrome Casino on March 3rd, and begins in the casino’s Heliot Lounge at 6.00pm. The ceremony itself takes place at 7.00 in the Matcham Room, with 18 awards to be handed out including the prestigious Player of the Year title.

After the winners have been announced, a special tournament will be laid on by British Poker Awards organisers Bluff Europe Magazine and The Hippodrome Casino. A number of award nominees will take part, along with British Poker Awards attendees.

Top poker pros including PokerStars Team Online member Mickey Petersen and Run It Once pro Sam Grafton will have bounties on their head. Whoever knocks them out will earn a satellite seat to the Hippodrome’s Spring Classic tournament, and the ultimate winner will earn themselves a seat into the Spring Classic itself, worth £250.

There will also be cash games running for any poker variant imaginable, from No Limit Hold’Em to Open Face Chinese and everything in between. With many of the game’s stars at the Hippodrome, attendees will have the chance to pit their poker wits with some of their idols.

“It’s not very often poker enthusiasts can say that they’ve even played against a top pro, let alone knocked them out of a tournament,” said Michael Caselli, editor-in-chief of Bluff Europe.

“With cash tables running all through the night, we’re sure this year’s British Poker Awards will be an event to remember.”

Organised by Bluff Europe Magazine and sponsored by PokerStars.com, The British Poker Awards will hold its awards ceremony at the Hippodrome Casino on March 3rd. The ceremony will include live music provided by The Dukes of Mayfair. Members of the public wishing to attend and be in with a chance of playing in the bounty tournament can buy tickets directly from the Hippodrome website.
