'Pan for Gold' mobile winner scoops £25,000

A lucky punter proved something of an alchemist by turning £20 into £25,000 on Sky Vegas’ new ‘Pan for Gold’ game.

The player – known only as Dave, from Durham in England – won the maximum prize on just his 10th attempt at the Goldrush-themed instant win scratch card, which has a stake of £2.

Incredibly, that’s a 124,900% return on the CORE Gaming-created title that was only released at the end of November – and suggests Dave has discovered the age-old mystery of alchemy, or turning base metals into gold!

While Dave must decide how to spend his winnings, anyone that fancies following his lead by winning big on ‘Pan for Gold’ simply needs to visit Sky Vegas, pay for a £2 scratch card and then select which of the six locations in the fictional town of Goldville that they will begin their search.

Mobile and desktop players get three attempts at picking up gems from the stream, and win prizes of up to £25,000 by collecting three of the same jewels.

Golden nuggets can also be found, and stored in the bonus bank for future games. Once a player has eight nuggets in their pot they get their haul weighed and, again, can win up to £25,000.

Players can attempt to follow Dave's winning lead at www.skyvegas.com/game/pan-for-gold-html.

“We are delighted that Dave has taken this golden prize, said Kev Short of CORE Gaming (www.core-gaming.info), which has created more than 150 games since its launch in 2011.

“We are very proud of this game and, apart from offering great prizes, we think players will find ‘Pan for Gold’ a really fun experience.”
